Amaka Obi is a Chartered Information Technology Practitioner and currently the Head of ICT Department at Police Health Maintenance Limited. Working together with the Management Team, she makes strategic and innovative input into ICT projects, planning, policies and budgets in order to meet the overall PHML strategic objectives, by identifying new and emerging ICT Technologies to deliver on the PHML mandate. She is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality ICT services to support all PHML operations.
She joined the PHML in 2013 as a Senior ICT Support and has since taken giant strides up the administrative ladder to reach her current position. Prior to joining the PHML, she served in other capacities in other different organizations.
She supports her experience with a solid educational background. She has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (Agricultural Engineering), an Honors Diploma in Network Engineering from the NIIT, a Microsoft Certified Professional Qualification, Certificates from the United Kingdom Telecommunications Academy in Data Communications and Mobile Technology Network Engineering. She also has a certificate in professional Development from the Teesside University, a Master of Science (MSc.) in Information Technology from the University of Wales, and a Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington.
She is an Executive Member of the Institute for Health Insurance & Managed Care of Nigeria (IHIMCN) and a Member Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN).
